7 Round Atlanta Falcons Mock Draft

Image
The Atlanta Falcons hold nine picks in the 2022 NFL Draft that takes place later this month. Their first five selections all take place within the top 82 picks which should allow Terry Fontenot to add several quality starters. The consensus amongst the media seems that the Atlanta Falcons are high on the idea of selecting Drake London with the 8th overall pick. First Round 8th Overall Pick: Kayvon Thibodeaux,   Edge Rusher, Oregon. I've gone back and forth on who I want with the 8th overall pick, and I have settled on Oregon pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux. Thibodeaux is the best pass rusher in the draft not named Aidan Hutchinson. He has the highest ceiling of any pure pass rusher. As I wrote in a previous article, "Thibodeaux was a game wrecker for Oregon, he tallied 19 sacks during his time in the pacific northwest. Thibodeaux is stout versus the run, he uses his length to shed tackle and tight end blocks. This is reflected in the stat column too, he had 35.5 tackles for loss...

5 Wide Receivers the Atlanta Falcons should consider drafting

Image
The Atlanta Falcons have the worst wide receiver corps in the NFL. Like many other areas of the team, we could do with drastically improving the talent at the position. Reporter James Palmer revealed on NFL Network "The Falcons are going to be aggressive in their pursuit of a wide receiver in the draft". I have identified five wide receivers in the draft that I like. I am hoping the Falcons can land atleast one of these guys.  Skyy Moore The receiver out of Western Michigan was productive in his 3 seasons in college. He will probably be best as a slot receiver in the NFL. His route running still needs polishing up. He possesses a knack of getting open thanks to his quick footwork. Moore offers 4.4 speed and he uses it to great effect, regalularly getting open on go routes. He possesses strong hands at the catch point.  He is one of only four FBS players with at least 95 catches, 1200 receiving yards and ten touchdowns last season. A weakness in his game according to some, is ...

5 Players the Atlanta Falcons should consider drafting at Pick 8

Image
The Atlanta Falcons hold the 8th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The Falcons have many areas of the roster that needs improving. They can acquire a blue chip player this early in the draft. I'd be in favour of Terry Fontenot trading down if he gets a decent offer. I have identified 5 players who we should consider drafting if we stay put at 8. I am assuming Aidan Hutchinson will be off the board by the time we pick. Jermaine Johnson II, Edge Defender, FSU The FSU edge rusher has been a huge riser up many peoples draft boards, after an impressive senior bowl showing. I have him rated as my second edge rusher in this draft behind Hutchinson. Johnson II uses a wide array of moves when he rushes the passer. Johnson II plays with tremendous energy and a high motor, he never gives up on plays. I don't think Johnson is a pure speed rusher, he wins outside due to his brilliant hand usage and set up. Johnson II ability to use his hands are why I have him ranked higher than Thibodeau...
